MOTORSPORTS SAFETY AND TRANSPORTATION LIABILTY

The Penalta Law Firm protects Marine Mammal Rehab/Rescue Facilities and Marine Mammal Parks against Disruptive Business Practices, and Animal Enterprise Terrorism, Domestic Terrorism, and threats to America’s National Security and Critical Infrastructure, facilitating local, county, state and federal law enforcement investigations, when appropriate, to protect our client’s business interests.

Alexander Penalta has over 25 years of experience in handling catastrophic injury cases involving motorcycle and automobile collisions. Mr. Penalta places great emphasis on teaching collision prevention and driver awareness. Mr. Penalta served as a Teen Survival Safety Instructor for BMW CCA in Palm Beach, Florida and is a strong proponent of educating teenage drivers on motor vehicle safety throughout the state, in public and private schools. Alexander was trained by two time World Champion Frank Hawley at the Gainesville Raceway and is licensed by the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) to race Super Comp Dragsters and ET Bracket Class Race Cars. He has is presently or has in the past been a member of the NSX Club of America, Scuderia Ferrari and Exotics Club of South Florida, the BMW Car Club of North America, and S2k (S2000 Honda Motorsports) International. He has participated in Pace Car activities at the Inaugural Street Race in St. Petersburg, Florida for the Indy Racing League on behalf of S2k International and Honda of North America.  Mr. Penalta has attended Bertil Roos Racing School at Moroso, Indy Experience at Disney Raceway, Richard Petty Driving Experience at Disney Raceway and Daytona Super Speedway, Mario Andretti Racing School at Homestead Speedway, and Penguin Road Racing School at Homestead Speedway becoming a licensed Motorcycle Advanced Road Racer on high performance Ducati Racing Motorcycles.

Alexander served has been an AOPA Panel Plan Attorney for over 20 years and served as an Adjunct Associate Professor at  Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University of Daytona Beach, Florida, Fort Lauderdale Area Resident Center, Division of Business Administration for ten years. He taught Aviation Law, Business Law, and Federal Regulations to pilots, maintenance personnel, management, Sikorsky and Pratt
and Whitney employees, and to former Black Ops, NASA/Russian Rocket Propulsion
Engineers. Mr. Penalta is a licensed FAA Private Pilot with general aviation experience
flying 152s, 172s, open cockpit, WWII, and glider aircraft and is an AOPA Panel Plan
Attorney.

Mr. Penalta is experienced in legal issues surrounding Scuba, Boating and Marine
Mammal Facilities. Alexander has served as a Training Officer for the Offshore Sailing
Training Squadron at the United States Naval Academy (USNA) in Annapolis,
Maryland. Mr. Penalta is experienced in sailing Sloops and Catamarans. He holds
multiple American Sailing Association (ASA) Sailing Certifications and is a United
States Coast Guard (USCG) Licensed Captain and a USCG Licensed Master with Sailing
Endorsements. Mr. Penalta has served as legal advisor to several Florida members of
the Alliance for Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums and marine mammal facilities
throughout Asia, including the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, the Philippines,
Singapore, and Japan. Alexander served as the legal advisor to the University of
Florida, College of Health and Human Performance, Academic Diving Program;
National YMCA Scuba Program-Florida Field; U.S. Underwater Federation and the
National Association for Cave Diving, with an emphasis on diving safety and cave
diving deaths.
